Astro Turf Update

Tuam Celtic FC have successfully secured a Sports Capital Grant of €191,022 towards the
build of a brand new full-size astro turf pitch, on their home ground at Cloonthue, Tuam. The
funds will go a long way towards achieving the vision of having an all-weather surface for
training and matches alike, thereby helping to alleviate the capacity issues currently being
experienced across all our male and female age-groups during Winter training in our ever-
expanding club. Thanks to the club officers who worked tirelessly to achieve the highest
grant possible, and to Sean Canney for his support.
The Club Development committee is made up of Mike Togher, James Higgins, Paul Burke,
Eric Gleeson and John Farragher. The team are now actively working on securing remaining
funds, and finalising plans to make the dream a reality!
